The Summary
Epic Escape Game is a franchise, but the escape rooms can be unique to the location. This location is completely different from the Denver location.
The Details
The Venue
Located just off Broadway in a happening section of Englewood, Epic Escape Game can be found behind an unassuming door that you might miss on first glance. Arrive with plenty of time to find parking – especially if there’s a concert at the Gothic Theatre around the corner.
After descending the stairs, you’ll find your game master in a comfortable area with a couch and padlocks (an excellent opportunity to practice before your escape begins).
The Prelude
Before the walk to your escape room, your game master will walk you through the basics of escapes at Epic. Pay attention (as with all venues you are unfamiliar with) to learn about any special types of likes, how clues work, and how to not damage the room…or yourself.
After escape room basics, you will be lead to your escape room door to learn the story of your escape. Listen carefully – for maximum immersion *and* to pick up any dropped clues.
The Clues
The clue system was a little odd when we visited – involving both walkie-talkies and a tv screen. The game master communicated via walkie-talkie, but also beeped the walkie-talkie to indicate that something was being shared via the television.
As with all escape rooms, if you’re feeling frustrated and have no idea what to do next, don’t hesitate to ask for a clue.
The Picture
Grab the poster for your escape room and signs that celebrate your win or mourn your loss, then pose in front of the Epic Escape sign for your game master to snap a pick. Your group picture will be shared to their Facebook page soon!
The Score
If you pull off an escape with a top time, your photo and time will be shared to the Epic Escape Game (Englewood) Hall of Fame page. Hope to see you there soon!
